The easiest method of performing railroad line maintenance is with an
excavator and Railtek's Transporter / Buggy /Lowbed and Work Cart.

Railtek's Transporter is a lowbed for train tracks that runs off the hydraulics of the excavator that it carries. Ideal for all types of rail line maintenance where an excavator is used. Railtek also makes "Work Carts" that can be pulled and/or pushed by the Railtek Railroad Track Transporter.

The Railtek Work Cart is light weight and durable. It is sealed to prevent mud and water from leaking onto the ballast. The Railroad Work Cart is sized to allow the excavator to reach from end to end to completely access materials or equipment being hauled. It has a low profile to allow the operator to easily see inside yet is still capable of handling at least 20 cubic yards of material.
